This will radically improve publishing speeds
Overview
The Publish Optimization upgrade speeds up publishing by switching to IIS Navigation, improving navigation rendering and reducing delays.
What’s Changing?
-
Top Bar Navigation now uses IIS Navigation, allowing only your changes to be published, even if a page or link is added to the Pages panel.
-
Previously, a full-site publish was triggered whenever a page was added, moved, renamed, or deleted.
-
Now, only the modified page will publish, while the top bar and side-navigation will dynamically update in the correct order.
-
-
Side Navigation is rebuilt in React, ensuring faster updates and better customization.
Benefits
-
Faster Publishing – Reduced processing times.
-
Efficient Navigation – Dynamic updates eliminate unnecessary rebuilds.
-
Modernized Side Navigation – Improved flexibility and performance.
Required Update: Subpage Side-Navigation
This upgrade requires transitioning to the new subpage side-navigation system for full compatibility. Learn more in our New Subpage Side-Navigation Guide.
What to Expect
-
CMS Editor will be temporarily unavailable during the upgrade.
-
Public-facing site remains live.
