Manage Reunification Teams

A Reunification Team is a group of people that are responsible for coordinating reunification measures after an emergency.

Roles

Within the Reunification Team, there are nine specific roles.

Each role can be filled by as many people as you see fit. We recommend at least two for each role, to ensure ample coverage.

  • Incident Commanders
    • Oversees entire reunification
    • Ensures all teams are assigned and executing duties as described
  • Parking Managers
    • Directs flow of traffic
    • Identifies Parking Zone if one is not readily available
  • Guardian Check-in Greeters
    • Reminds guardians to have ID ready
    • Directs guardians to check-in area
  • Guardian Check-in Managers
    • Checks in guardians
    • Verifies photo ID
    • Directs guardians to waiting area
  • Guardian Waiting Area Managers
    • Directs parents to and from the Check-in and Reunification sites
    • Manages the guardian waiting area
  • Student Assembly Zone Managers
    • Manages flow of students and teachers in the assembly area
  • Student Holding Zone Managers
    • Manages student flow from assembly to reunification
  • Reunification Zone Managers
    • Reunifies guardians with students
    • Verifies photo ID
  • Exit Managers
    • Talks to parents as they exit the Reunification Zone
    • Helps create calm
 

      Manage Team

      Any user can be part of the Reunification Team, regardless of access level.

      District Reunification Team

      1. Log into CatapultEMS.com using a District Safety Team account.
      2. Choose Reunification.
      3. Under Reunification Teams, choose Manage Team.
        1. To add users: Choose Add Staff > search by name email or site > press + (the green plus icon).
        2. To remove staff: Choose the red trash icon.

      Site Reunification Team

      1. Log into CatapultEMS.com using a Safety Team account.
      2. If you have access to multiple sites, navigate to the relevant site.
      3. From the Site Dashboard, choose Reunification.
      4. Under Reunification Teams, choose Manage Team.
        1. To add users: Choose Add Staff > search by name email or site > press + (the green plus icon).
        2. To remove staff: Choose the red trash icon.
