Website Performance Update - January 27, 2026

Update
January 28, 2026 at 11:45 AM PST

Service has remained stable following yesterday’s intermittent interruptions.

Our engineering team identified an area of the system that was being heavily triggered during periods of unusually high visitor activity, particularly as districts and schools experienced elevated traffic related to storm updates and closure communications. Adjustments have been made to reduce the strain caused by repeated requests during these high-traffic moments.

We will continue monitoring closely to ensure performance remains consistent and to prevent similar disruptions moving forward.

Thank you for your patience.

Update
January 27, 2026 at 5:02 PM PST

We want to acknowledge that some sites are again experiencing intermittent interruptions following earlier signs of stabilization. We understand how frustrating this is, especially after earlier communication indicating improved performance.

Our engineering team is continuing to actively investigate and work through the underlying issue, and we are closely monitoring site behavior as changes are made. At this time, performance may continue to fluctuate for some sites.

We will share another update as soon as we have clearer confirmation of sustained stability. Thank you for your patience while we work through this.

Update
January 27, 2026 at 2:46 PM PST

Earlier today, some clients experienced intermittent interruptions to CMS and CONNECT services beginning around 4:30 AM PST. At this time, monitoring indicates that sites are online and operational, and servers appear healthy.

Our engineering team believes elevated traffic related to storm-related school communications contributed to increased system load. While service has largely stabilized, we continue to monitor activity and review data to confirm the underlying cause and prevent similar situations in the future.

A CMS alert remains available to logged-in users and links to this article for ongoing updates. Our support team continues to respond directly to impacted clients.

Update
January 27, 2026 at 10:05 AM PST

We are seeing elevated traffic to some district and school websites from visitors seeking weather-related updates and closure information following a large winter storm affecting parts of the country. This increased demand may be contributing to intermittent interruptions and slower performance for some sites.

Our engineering team continues to work through the underlying issue and is taking a careful, phased approach to stabilizing performance and transitioning affected sites as needed. This work is ongoing, and sites are being closely monitored as improvements are made.

We appreciate your patience and will continue to provide updates as progress is made.
