Dynamic Columns: Expanded Layout Options for Your Website
The Dynamic Column Feature in CatapultCMS provides more flexibility in structuring subpages. Instead of fixed content regions, users now have the ability to adjust layouts with greater control.
Feature Overview
Subpages now start with a default structure:
-
First row: One large content region.
-
Second row: Two evenly spaced columns.
-
Third row: One large content region.
Users can modify this setup using the plus button to add more columns as needed:
-
Up to three columns per row with a sidebar enabled.
-
Up to four columns per row if the sidebar is turned off.
-
A maximum of three rows, resulting in 12 total content regions.
Functionality
-
Adding Columns: Click the plus button to create additional columns.

-
Resizing Columns: Adjust widths using the bar between columns, with options like 1/2, 1/3, or 2/3 splits.

Implementation Considerations
This feature is not automatically enabled for all users, as it requires adjustments to the existing template structure. If your current setup does not support dynamic columns, implementation may require template modifications.
Next Steps
If you have access to this feature, you can start adjusting your subpages immediately. If you don't have this feature feel free to ask your customer success manager for more information about columns.
