2025 Q4 Release: Multi-User Checkout, Publishing Improvements & Bug Fixes

This update introduces the long-awaited Multi-User Checkout feature, improvements to publishing reliability, and a number of bug fixes for a smoother experience across your CMS.

🚀 New Features

🧑‍🤝‍🧑Multi-User Checkout

Multi- User Checkout 2Multiple users can now edit the same site at the same time!
Previously, checkout was handled at the site level—locking the entire site for a single user. Now, checkout occurs at the page level, allowing different users to edit different pages simultaneously.

  • Only one user can edit a specific page at a time.

  • Page structure changes (like moving or deleting pages) are restricted if they could affect another user.

  • This change makes team collaboration faster and more efficient.

📅 Scheduled Global Publishing for Large Websites

Catapult automatically syncs your template everynight which then requires a longer full site publish. To reduce the impact of large, site-wide publishes during peak hours:

  • Full site rebuilds and publishes are now automatically scheduled for early morning hours (roughly 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM PST).

  • The "Force Publish" option is now restricted to Super Users only.

  • Currently active only for sites using the new IIS Navigation system.

This helps avoid delays and improves publishing performance for all users.

📄 Page Count Limit

A new configuration option lets you control the maximum number of pages on a site.

  • Default limit: 500 pages per site (applies to sites with fewer than 500 pages).

  • Sites with more than 500 pages currently have no limit applied.

  • Limits apply individually to each site, including attached and unattached subsites.

Admins can manage this setting in Site Properties.

  • HTML Component Element now correctly renders global images.

  • Global Links Bug Fixes:

    • Resolved a conflict between old and new technology versions that caused links to point to outdated or incorrect pages, resulting in 404 errors.

    • IIS handler now correctly processes sub-directories and query strings.
